Being an Intergenerational Church

From ministry experts in the Church of Scotland, this book sets out to explore how separation of ages groups within congregations are no longer working. Examining the ways reconnecting children, youth and adults in the life of a church can reinvigorate and revitalize the congregation. Exploring Christian practices like humility, hospitality, participation, discipleship, joy, worship, discernment and testimony, Farrant and Phillip call churches to rediscover their DNA and in the process experience transformation.

Suzi Farrant is Young People and Young Adults Development Worker and Darren Philip is National Stewardship Consultant for the Church of Scotland. Between them they have over thirty years’ experience in pioneering youth ministry, developing intergenerational worship, and working with the national church to intentionally include children and young people. They both hold Master of Theology degrees from the University of Aberdeen.
