Formation Leaders – Continuing Education Opportunities
Continuing education is important to the work of anyone who engages in Christian Formation ministry and especially those who lead and coordinate the ministries in their parishes. There are many opportunities around through the Episcopal Church both in person and online that offer learning and nurturing. The opportunities listed here are not the only ones available. If you know of an opportunity that might benefit those who lead or coordinate these ministries in their parish, please let Emily Gowdy Canady know about it.
Weaving Our Gifts 2023 is sponsored by the Center for Children & Theology.
• October 27-28, 2023 – Online
• $100 (Early Bird rate through July)
The Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Weaving Our Gifts. She will address two issues of critical importance to those who work with children: the place of children in our changing church landscape, and the intersection of children’s faith formation and addressing racism in the country and our churches.
The Rev’d Catherine Powell at St. Paul’s, Wilmington is open to hosting an in person “watch” retreat for this event if there are enough interested people. Please reach out to Emily Gowdy Canady if you would like more information.
