This event is designed so young people can building community with each other and serve a local community within in the Diocese of East Carolina. In addition, young people learn more about a mission or ministry supported in the diocese.
This event began in 2011 and has served a variety of ministries and communities in the diocese including The Episcopal Farmworker Ministry, Interfaith Refugee Ministry, The USO at Camp LeJeunne, The Veteran’s Home of Kinston, Special Olympics of Cumberland County, Sound Rivers and the Lower Neuse River Keepers in Craven County, The Dillard Middle School Partnership, and La Sagrada Familia of Newton Grove. Each year the ECYC (East Carolina Youth Council) works to identify a need or ministry they would like to know more about and serve.
yOUThREACH is lead by members of the ECYC.
yOUThREACH 2023 has been postponed to a date YTBD due to the Diocesan Revival with Presiding Bishop Michael Curry.
