“The Roots of a Prayer Book for the Armed Services” Presentation at St. John’s, Fayetteville

On Wednesday night, November 15, the Rev. Robert Alves, rector of St. John’s, will offer a presentation on the history and development of devotional manuals for those who are serving in the Armed Forces. The presentation will begin at 6:45 in Hauser Hall. Devotion manuals from Fr. Alves’s collection will be on display for the evening. The presentation will include an overview of the research that Fr. Alves will focus on while on his sabbatical during the month of April 2024. The evening will begin with a 5:15 p.m. worship service in the chapel and dinner at 6:00 p.m. There are no reservations required.
