In Light & Darkness
In Light & Darkness Advent is the theme for Illustrated Ministries 2023 Advent Resources. The theme focuses on how light and darkness exist together. It also explores how our understanding of darkness and light affect how we see God, our world, and how our faith is impacted by our view of these opposites. Resources available allow for an intergenerational approach to Advent in congregations and the resources can be used on their own by a specific age group as well.
Resources available for purchase and download include:
- Illustrated Advent for Families: weekly during the Advent season families are encouraged to intentionally focus on their faith. Download includes five weekly family devotions, coloring & activity pages, and an Advent calendar.
- An Advent Devotional is available in two formats the illustrated edition with illustrations to color and a text only version. This is a thought-provoking devotional appropriate for older youth, young adults. and adults.
- Worship & Liturgy resources includes close to 100 prayers and litanies that connect with a previous Advent resource, Do Not Be Afraid theme and are meant to assist in Advent worship planning.
