East Carolina Youth Council

The Diocese of East Carolina Youth Council serves as the visioning, planning, and development team for youth ministry programs and resources. This Council, the ECYC, is primarily made up of high school aged young people from across the diocese supported by adults invested in ministry with and for young people.

Annually, applications are accepted for the upcoming term to fill any vacant spots. Though it varies from year to year, typically the are 4-5 spots open for new members each term. While the council strives to represent every deanery in the diocese, representation is subject to the pool of applications received in any given year.


Members:

• Are 9th-12th graders
• Able to commit to being at the ECYC meetings, 3-5 weekend youth events, and 2-3 regional afternoon youth gatherings during the school year (2024-2025)
• Able to serve a minimum of 2 years

The application period for the 2024-2025 term has closed. Applications typically open in mid-Spring each year.
